End of year newsletter 2025
As we head into the colder months, we’re pleased to bring you our end of year newsletter. A chance to share a few updates, reflect on the year we’ve had together in 2025, and look ahead to what’s still to come. This year has been filled with challenges, achievements, and countless moments of care and connection. We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful clients and their families for your continued trust and support. We’d also like to express our deepest gratitude to our incredible team of carers. Your compassion, commitment, and hard work make all the difference, every single day. Thank you for the care you give and the kindness you show to all of your clients.
Training and Development this year:
At Bray Home Care, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of care, and that begins with investing in our team. Staying up to date with training and best practices is essential, and we’re proud to support our carers every step of the way. In March, all of our carers completed an updated Manual Handling course, ensuring they are equipped with the latest techniques for safe and effective care. We’re delighted to share that each carer received a certificate of completion, a testament to their dedication and professionalism.
Supporting our carers doesn’t stop at skills training, their wellbeing matters just as much. That’s why, in May, we organised a mindfulness workshop for our carers. It was a chance to pause, reflect, and recharge. Something we believe is vital for those who spend their days caring for others. We know how important it is to look after our carers, and support them in every way we can. Their wellbeing, confidence, and sense of purpose are central to the compassionate care we provide every day.

Must know wellness tips to keep you happy and healthy this winter
As the temperatures drop, it’s important to take a few extra precautions to stay healthy and safe throughout the winter months. Keeping warm is essential, so be sure to dress in layers, including warm socks and jumpers. Keep a blanket nearby, to throw over you if you start to feel chilly. If you’re concerned about heating or need assistance with warm clothing, please contact a family member or ask our carer to contact the office, and we will make the call for you. Winter weather can also increase the risk of slips and falls, especially on icy walkways and steps. We recommend placing non-slip mats at doorways and wearing shoes with good traction both inside and outside the home. Simple changes can make all the difference to keep you safe.
Don’t forget to stay hydrated! People often drink less water in the winter, but your body still needs fluids. Try sipping on warm teas, broths, and enjoy seasonal fruits like oranges and pears, which provide hydration and nutrients. Eating well- balanced meals is also key to maintaining energy and supporting your immune system.
Lastly, having a few winter essentials on hand—like a cosy blanket, extra batteries, and a list of important contacts, can go a long way in helping you feel comfortable and confident throughout the colder months. Little things, like knowing where your warm layers are or having your favourite tea within reach, can make a big difference in how you experience winter at home. Our team is always here to support you, and during their visits, your carer will check in to make sure you’re feeling safe, comfortable, and well supported. With a little preparation and the right support, winter can be a season to relax and enjoy the simple comforts of home. Whether it’s enjoying a quiet cup of tea, watching a favourite movie, or chatting with a loved one, we encourage you to embrace the small, meaningful moments that make this season special. So, get cosy, stay warm, and remember, you’re never alone this winter. We are here to support you.
