Thoroughly enjoyed our talk with specialist Parkinson’s nurse Lisa Wynne last week around spotting the signs of Parkinson’s Disease and how best to asses and treat a service user with this condition. Lisa discussed Parkinson’s Symptoms, medications and other topics related to PD. 

Parkinson’s disease is an age-related degenerative brain condition, meaning it causes parts of your brain to deteriorate. It’s best known for causing slowed movements, tremors, balance problems and more. Most cases happen for unknown reasons, but some are inherited. The condition isn’t curable, but there are many different treatment options and care plans that home care providers like ourselves can offer.
